A comprehensive site inspection and coverage testing will help ensure full compliance of cellular coverage within commercial buildings. This critical process serves multiple purposes: it helps identify the necessity for installing a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to enhance coverage, and it establishes a performance benchmark both before and after DAS implementation. At TELECO, conducting DAS site surveys is a fundamental protocol that precedes the design phase of in-building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
A Comprehensive Site Inspection & Coverage Testing
Site Inspection and Coverage Testing Procedures
Our meticulous site inspection and coverage testing procedures are executed by TELECO’s team of Radio Frequency and DAS experts. During these evaluations, we meticulously pinpoint and document crucial details, including weak signal levels and interference. Armed with this comprehensive dataset, in conjunction with quality-of-service measurements gathered from the external network, our team generates an in-depth analysis and recommendation report. This report will also provide areas of optimization through the implementation of a DAS.
Evaluation of Propagation Variables
WHY TELECO DAS FIELD TESTING
A thorough site review combined with coverage testing is essential to guarantee your commercial buildings possess the required internal Emergency Responder and Carrier coverage. This process validates whether there’s a necessity for a BDA or DAS to improve mission-critical coverage. Additionally, it sets a standard for comparing performance before and after setting up DAS. At TELECO, conducting DAS site assessments is a routine step we take before creating in-building Distributed Antenna Systems, ensuring that you achieve both regulatory compliance and optimal coverage efficiency.
Site inspection Our experienced team of RF and DAS experts will conduct an on-site evaluation, focusing on both RF signal aspects and local regulatory factors:
- Examining variables for propagation.
- Conducting frequency spectrum assessments.
- Pinpointing and ranking areas that need attention.
- Investigating signal sources such as radio and cellular towers.
- Making raw Radio Frequency (RF) readings, which cover RF noise baseline and the strength of donor signals.
- Reviewing obstacles to RF, like the natural landscape and built structures.
- Guaranteeing adherence to fire safety standards and building codes for ERCES.
- Determining FCC license holder(s) related to P25 public safety radio network broadcast agreements.
- Obtaining an approval letter from AHJ when the internal site signal coverage meets standards and is code-compliant.
